It is nearing the end of October and the leaves have peaked and are now cascading down. My husband and I, along with our two dogs, Petey and Tigger, and our cat, Harry are settling down for a long winter cooped up in a tiny two bedroom apartment while our new home is being built.

I just wanted to say a quick hello to all my fellow survivors out there and remind them that there is much work to be done. The world is a crazy place and unfortunately, our children are at high risk for abuse. If you are being abused and have not sought help – please do so! If you suspect that someone is being abused, please report it. We have choices – period!
